Why asians cant drive

Being in an accident and causing one are two different things. People born in many Asian countries I believe are bad drivers bc our parents beat confidence out of their kids and they are always being second guessed by their parents they second guess themselves.

If they had cameras with gps in every car I wonder how many close calls and accident numbers they would have recorded. Matthew Foley seems to be the only person in this room that has half a brain.

Did any of you read the article? I love how your own little personal experiences somehow trump hard data and research. I just saw a white guy jump on his motorcycle drunk at the bar. He throttled right into a brick wall feet away. All white people are bad drivers following the logic here. Our parents immigrated to the US as adult. Most of them never had a car in the mother country.

Some got a license but never drove or had a car because public transportation is readily available in the densely populated location and tax on car are insanely high to curb the sales.

The National Center for Statistics and Analysis looked at race and ethnicity in traffic safety data. The figures revealed that Asians have the lowest fatality rates. Asians also had the highest rate of safety belt use. But still, foreigners driving in Hong Kong are suspectible to accidents. Surely, these Asian Drivers may be idiots here in Vancouver doing 40k on the passing lane.

But when I rented a car in Hong Kong , couldn't believe they are so wrecklessly fast! They are most annoying on the freeway, where they drive in the middle lane at 60MPH and always keep a 40 car distance between themselves and the car in front of them. They also have the fascinating tendency to not base their speed off of what their speedometer says, but by who is trying to pass them. This leads to them speeding up when you approach and slowing down when you get stuck and have to slow.

Risk estimates for people born in other regions did not differ to those for Australian-born respondents. Conclusions: The study highlights the lower level of risky driving and significantly reduced crash risk for Australian drivers born in Asian countries relative to those born locally.

Further research is needed to examine factors underlying this reduced risk and the impact of the length of residence in the host country.
